Q3:- Explain how to check that the power assisted steering is working safely before starting a journey?

ANS:- If the steering becomes heavy, it could be faulty. Therefore, before starting a journey, two simple checks can be made. 1) By applying gentle pressure on the steering wheel, which should be maintained whilst the engine starts, you should be able to notice slight movement as the system begins to operate. 2) By turning the steering wheel just after moving off, you should get an immediate indication whether the power assisted steering is functioning correctly or not.
